I’m Andy Kirk, the founder of Visualising Data, creative design lead and blog editor.

After studying Operational Research at undergraduate level at Lancaster University Business School I spent the next decade working in a variety of analytical roles for some of the largest businesses and organisations in the UK. In 2007 I started researching data visualisation techniques and completed a Masters research degree in the subject at Leeds University Business School.

In February 2010, I launched the Visualising Data blog and this has quickly become established as one of the most important and popular in the field, offering readers contemporary insights into the skills, techniques, resources, applications and best practices around this exciting subject.
